Most things that are considered evil are simply lacking in social
niceties. - Edward Bloom
What a beautifully shot movie! The photography is like a painting,
the story line flowing as a reason to see more vivid colors and great
effects. Time stopping for true love, wrestling a huge catfish, in a
car under a lake, and many other beautiful things to watch. What fun
it must be to be the director of photography for a movie like this.
Adventure Dad’ favorite character - Carl the Giant.
I do have to say that it is hard to look at Billy Crudup and not yell
at him about being a schmuck for leaving Mary Louise Parker pregnant to date Clare Danes. In this movie he’s this husband with his wife pregnant and trying to find out who his Dad is. When the acting is good, I can forget, when the story slows - I sometimes feel like yelling at him. Maybe it’s pregnancy hormones.
Fun soundtrack - a bit similar to Forrest Gump. …..Lord I was born a
ramblin’ man……
Back to the love story…between the parents, as told by the father,
and Will and his wife and soon to be newborn son. I love the
interactions between the couples - so much love and so well shown!
Cuddling in the bathtub, talking half awake in the morning to a spouse,
the stuff we all actually do.
Ewan McGregor - an amazing actor that carried so much joy though the stories. We laughed, we cried….and now we are off to bed.
