It has been a week since Adventure Dad left…and we are doing better than I expected!
On Sunday, Mother’s Day, and Adventure Dad’ last night home, we had our first no-baby date night. We ate Thai food and had a wonderful time talking to each other about anything and everything. I sure do love that guy and am so glad that we are married. I can’t imagine living my life with anyone else!
On Monday we dropped him off at the boat, went to a COMPASS meeting, lunch at Sonia’s then dinner at Julie’s. By the time the princess and I were home it was time to get ready and go to bed. I think it was a great way to start the patrol - no sitting home alone feeling sorry for ourselves.
This week I’ve walked a bunch, invited friends over for meals and generally done great. This weekend we went to Seattle where Papaya and I stayed at Auntie Beth & Uncle Rick’s place. I learned that she NEEDS a swing of some sort at all times, and that the Boppy pillow is golden - so I’m going to have one sent to Hawaii for while we are there.
We leave for Hawaii on 24 May and will be there enjoying time with all the family. I hope Papaya likes it, because I am going to LOVE it!
