Papaya is walking these days, she’s up to four steps as a time! We spent the day with many different friends; breakfast with Patty & Ryan Beal and Michele, Patrick & Clare Gunther. A great nap followed, then lunch with Tessa, Niko & Sasha as well as Julie & Makenzie Poplawski. She took a great afternoon nap, ate a huge dinner and was happy to see her father even though he got home very late - 8 p.m. Ah, refit. He works long days, and nights for that matter, and is stressed. He’s so cuddly with Papaya these days, knowing he’ll be saying goodbye to her in just a few short days. I pray that she’ll recognize him when he gets home.
In less fun news, my brother will be unable to come to Papaya’s first Birthday Luau. He has to be in California for a Surf Conference related to his career since he worked for Clark Foam which recently went out of business. I understand that he must go, it is his only chance to meet with the people that make his career. At the same time, I’m sad. I’d never want him to stay when it could be so harmful to his career, but he will be so very missed. I love my brother. He’s the type of guy I’d be friends with even if he were not my brother.
Tomorrow Papaya and I are taking Julie and Makenzie to the airport tomorrow…

I'm really way too good at regrets, in fact, I have to stop myself from obsessing on them.
