Tutu saves the day

I am so blessed.  I have a Mom who will fly across an ocean to “save” me from myself.  I also have friends and family who will call, write, and send wonderful wishes my way during the rough times.

Can you tell I’m on an upswing?  The packer is here, oddly they sent only one when two is the usual, and Papaya got a 2 1/2 hour morning nap.  He says it will take him two days to pack the house, today is Kitchen, Living Room and Garage while tomorrow is 3 bedrooms, bathrooms and closets.  We’ll see.  He finished my Kitchen in four hours, which is not bad, but not exactly Olympic Gold Medal speed.

Papaya slept quite well last night, a lot of nursing, but that seems to be the norm of late since she is too busy to slow down and eat much in the day and teeth are sore all night.  She’s got molars now, two of them, what a big girl.  She’s learned great things from Tutu.  She can get herself on and off the couch safely, and does not feel the need to protest a little nose wiping if the noise “boop boop” is accompanying the swipe.

I’m taking my medication, resting when need be and even took two hours to go and get a new haircut and highlights.  Now I just need time to style it enough to take a picture to share.

Freaking Out

Papaya is, in the living room, on my Mom’s lap. I could not handle, no
surprise, so I handed her off and came in here. I can still hear
her, crying in my Mom’s arms. She’s had tylenol and dimetap tonight,
teething and post-nasal drip. I told God that this was a bad week
for her to get sick - was he listening? I guess I’m in for another
lesson in patience and humility.

Thank God my Mom came. I’m not patient right now, I feel like being
mean when Papaya is like this and that is NOT me. I’ve got to take my
pills, take my rest with my Mom’s help and get things together. I’ve
got my Mom for a week, after that I’ve got to be back on track.

In a moment, I’ll take a deep breath and go back in there. I’ll
nurse her for the bazillionth time tonight and due to wearing herself
out crying with my Mom, she’ll fall asleep in my arms. Then I’ll
look down at her peaceful face and wonder what is wrong with me, how
could loving someone so perfect be so hard?

She’s dancing

It will soon be nap time.

But right now I’m entranced, with her.

She is dancing in circles in the living room floor. Her right foot
in place, spinning around with the other food. She raises her hands
up and down, dances with her arms and her voice. She is holding a
remote control, for the TV, I can’t bear to take away her prop no
matter how loud she accidentally turns up King 5 News.

She is pure and perfect and sweet.

She just pooped, I can smell it, but I must wait for her to be done
before I can change her. Ah, diapers, allowing the creative to poop
without slowing the dancing.

I went to my therapist today, things are back in order in my mind.
It also helps that I hired my favorite cleaning company to clean up
my house. Clean house without having to drag my semiDepressed arse
to do it is just SpecDiddlyTacular.

He’s in port, other wives have heard from theirs, yet he has not
called yet. I know it is because he is logical, has no more than a
minute now and will call for hours this evening. But I’m a GIRL and
I want to hear his voice and know that he loves me. As if that is
even a question. Sometimes you just want to hear the good news all
over again.

Movers come next week. 100,000 maintenance on my car is next week
too - whoa I drive a lot!

Depression

I’m depressed.  It’s not that Adventure Dad is gone,  or that Papaya is teething, that Papaya pooped in her bath twice tonight before I gave up, or that I’m moving us alone.  It’s that I’m BiPolar and all of the above things together are putting me over the edge.  I’m having a hard time cleaning my house, a sign for me that things are amiss.  Luckily it does not seem to impact my care of Papaya, thank GOD, and she is as happy and healthy as a girl who is growing molars can be.

I’m trying to focus on the future, as in April, when we will be settling into a new house.  A new start, a place I can decorate and live in and be the me I want to be.  I want to be a wife who keeps a clean home, has dinner on the table, and takes nights off to date my husband.  I want to dress nicely; matching panties and underwear and clothing that could be business casual but a teensy bit more casual.  I want to wear flattering pants and sweater sets.  I want to wear nice shoes, but not heels.  I want to do my laundry on a regular basis so I don’t end up doing it all on Saturday.  I want to wash my face, do my hair and wear a bit of makeup daily.  I want to work out and be a bit thinner, but more importantly, feel stronger.  I want to work on my Wyatt hips/thighs and make them leaner.

So, these are my goals.  I feel excited writing them and know that I just have to get through a few weeks of stress to start on them.  It is doable, and  I’m seeing my therapist this week to make sure that this depression does not overcome me.  I deserve better and so does Papaya.
