Chesterton, IN to Streetsboro, OH
Today will be known as the day of our accident. As we drove into Toledo, OH (”Holy Toledo Batman!” says Adventure Dad) and stopped at a light near the Zoo, we were rear ended. Not hard enough to hurt any of us, but hard enough to rip the tire cover on our rear tire. So we parked in the Zoo parking lot and Adventure Dad went in with Papaya. As I write I am sitting in the Liberty waiting for the police to come and make a report since the woman who hit us kept on driving. Heck, she even passed us on the right and gave us a dirty look for, gasp, trying to pull off the highway to make a report. Nice. Welcome to Ohio. I’ll be glad to move on once we are done with our fun at the Zoo. The police officer was nice, that helped a bit.
It’s evening…we’ve settled into our hotel room. After the Zoo (yay for the Polar Bears!) we had lunch at Ruby Tuesdays (love the salad bar for Papaya). We hit the road and made it just past Cleveland for tonight’s stop. Our hotel tonight is next to a Ruby Tuesdays so we may have dinner there tonight too, twice in one day!
Tomorrow….we may make it to Virginia!
