Furniture woes

On the 24th of last month I ordered A LOT of furniture from Ikea…

Love Seat
Two matching Chairs
Two Poang Chairs
Two Poang Foot Stools
Some Art
Bar Stools

I’ve been calling and emailing regarding the status of my order.

I finally got a (friendly) human on the phone today only to find out that a mistake in the system had cancelled my order.

Grrrreeeaaaattt now I get to wait until 29 April for delivery of my stuff.

I’m so pissed my face is red. And of course, Adventure Dad is working late tonight.

If you liked that post, then try these...

Just imagine the fun you and Travis (with Maya helping) will have, putting together that much flat pack furniture!

I just imagined what would happen if you tried putting more than one piece of furniture together at once - you’d mix up all the inevitable spare screws!

I hear you in the furniture woes department.

Rick and I went to get a solid wood changing table/dresser combo at a place called Babytown today. They had really nice stuff, and it was pretty reasonably priced. So, we found a piece we really liked, got the number and took it to the counter to pay for it and pick it up. Catch is, the girl at the register said almost nothing they had on the floor was stocked there, and that it would take 8 to 12 weeks to be delivered at their store!! WTF??

So, we got some plastic drawers at Target for Xan’s clothes and put a changing pad on top of them. Looks like it will work fine for now. We’ll still order the combo unit, but it’s a bummer it won’t be here ’til about two months after Xan is born.

    *sigh*

Yeah when we bought a bed from Ikea we picked it up and brought it home, only to discover when we were trying to put it together that a very important part was missing! Had to drive all the way back to get the piece so we could finish building the thing and get a good night’s rest! I hope all your pieces arrive as they should!!
