So, at my gym last night, I got a basic screening and shocking - I’m a little off center. After pelvic seperation in pregnancy and bursitis in my hip I figured. But…now I have the oppourtunity to get screened and treated by a Chiropractor.
Are they a scam?
Do they work?
Should I pay out of pocket for it (my insurance is Military so we need nothing more than a bullet to bite and some rum in their eyes)?
A scan (around $200) then 3 visits a week for a month ($52 per visit) then one visit per month for upkeep ($52 per visit). Worth it?

Papaya reached out and touched Peter (my Dog) today! This is a breakthrough as she has, until now, been afraid of dogs.

Tough one. Ben has used a chiro in the past for his back pain and it helped. I do know numerous people who have use them to alleviate back pain and never heard anyone say it wasn’t worth it. But I also don’t know of one that charges that much. You can typically find a place that will do a scan and evaluation for free, if you pay for a months visits or something like that. I imagine that if it’s your gym, that is why it’s so much more. I would go to an independent office, JMO.
So worth it.
If the chiropractor’s good, that is.
I absolutely think it is worth it (though you may be able to find someone whose fees are a bit lower). You will feel worse at first, but after two or three adjustments you will feel like a new person.
