Yep, once again I am all excited because I participate in this right of American passage that is voting for what I believe in.
I pre-read the ballot initiatives, the bond issues, and of course the Constitutional amendments. I make a little post it for my own joy, and off I go!
I pulled in to the parking lot and was surprised; campaign signs? Huh? I seem to remember there being a limit in Hawaii about how close those could be to a polling place. Then, at the door, accosted by Republican and Democrat volunteers offering me a “example ballot” for each party. Thanks, I think I can make seven choices on my own, it’s not THAT complicated.
So inside where I stood in line while Papaya danced in the Mei Tai, entertaining all around. Then, onto my electronic voting machine. The screens looked just like the .pdf examples I’d seen online, I whipped out my post it and voted!
Want to know what for?
Virginia 8th District (Want to see who won?)

James Moran Jr. (D)
Q1=NO
Q2=YES
Q3=NO
PARK BOND = YES
SAFETY BOND = YES
And Papaya, she says “VOTE!” and so do I….get out there people!

Yay for voting!!!
I was there at 8:00 this morning. But it took me an hour! Good thing I’m dedicated! We had a bazillion propositions to vote on. You’re lucky you only had 3.

Xan was still undecided on a couple props in the morning - so we did some final discussion and debate before going to the polls in the evening.
Today is a very good day. Oh yes, a very good day.
