Hawaii

There are many funny things I’ve noticed durring my trip here:

Christmas Lights on Palm trees…NOT what mainland people expect because we really only decorate the trunks and not the leaves.

Santa at the Mall…even creepier when dressed like that in the heat, I mean adding sweat to the outfit is NOT an improvement.

Military…I know I married one, but geez, could you stick out like more of a sore thumb everywhere? Out to breakfast with your family in matching Aloha wear, um, hello? Are you going for the tourist look without the sunburn?

Papaya seriously LOVES to be naked and playing with animals…so she’ll maybe grow up to be a naked Veteranarian? Um, maybe not.

ummm yeah, there was a family of (1) grandma, (2) parents and at least (4) children in LAX Tuesday night, all wearing bright neon green Disney t-shirts. Who does that?

Their 4-year old daughter was screaming for an hour straight while we sat in the terminal, and I couldn’t have been happier when they boarded the plane to Sydney, not O’hare!

OMG….ewww! And a screaming kid all the way to Sydney, NO THANK YOU! I might throw myself from the plane.

Getting on the plane I always have to hold back from smiling and promising people I’ll be giving my kid Dimeatap, aka. “drugs.”
