What a difference a day (or night) makes.

Flying overnight might be the best idea I have ever had, or the airlines had, whatever.

Papaya fell asleep two hours into the flight, slept for five, woke up and was cheerful for the last hour. We got off the plane, played for two hours in a PlayZone area of the airport, and she slept the whole 75 minutes of the second flight. How awesome is that? Okay, ME sleeping too would have been awesome, but hey - I’d rather be awake without a screaming kid.

We are home, happy, healthy and on a totally whacked out time job. It’s 3:30 a.m. and I’m opening Xmas cards since I napped all afternoon. Papaya is asleep now but waited until 2 a.m. to do so….don’t worry, I sent Dad to bed earlier than that.

So tomorrow - grocery shopping and unpacking - yay!

oh man! I took the redeye home from LA to Detroit, and it was the best idea I’d ever had, as well. I popped a sleeping pill, slept through the night, and kind of glossed over the whole time-change. I was well-rested when I got to Michigan and have been going ever since. It’s my new favorite :)
