Oh, how I love to bake. This is part of why I’m hosting the Bakin’ it HOT to elect Barack meeting on Tuesday. Oh yes, the one where our local WUSA Chanel 9 is coming to profile the ladies in charge of Families for Obama group. Oh yeah, that one.
So I made sugar cookie dough (with Lilikoi Juice) and froze it earlier in the week and today I started on two of my other three offerings:

Oh yeah - I’m happy to be elbow deep in chocolate no matter how “lowfat” I made the recipe - you’ll never know. Note my Pampered Chef scooper - I have them in every size and love those things. Oh yeah - this is the only one where you can tell I have any hair so I had to post this photo.
Then it was on to National Security Nanaimo Bars which I learned to make while Adventure Dad was stationed in Monterey, CA at Naval Postgraduate School. I blame them for a lot of my weight gain.
Oh yeah - I don’t skimp. Schrafen Berger for my peeps.
Wow. Pampered Chef Spatula and bowl - I’m addicted. Oh how this smelled AWESOME.
I flattened it into the pan and am letting it cool before I add the sweet frosting layer then the layer of ganache. Oh yeah baby.

Yum! So, those are silicone cupcake wrappers? Are they reusable? I really have to get myself together and join the group. Although, I always hold out to see if McCain is going to run. I have a soft spot for him, being a hometown boy (and the fact that I sat next to him for a whole hockey game).
