Not getting a vasectomy?
It’s maintaining critical family capability for chup building - we don’t want the industrial base (ability to produce more) to erode to the point that if in time of a family emergency we needed another chup - and would have to source out to another family because we’ve lost the ability to make more chups. Chup production impossible due to erosion of industrial base is a real risk here people.

What are you trying to say?!? There is always room in one’s heart and one’s home for another chup. After the first it all gets easier — unless you’ve been there, it’s hard to believe. But true! My opinion is that if you’re unsure, wait! Don’t close off either course of action and leave your options open. I hope you, your hubby and your chup are all in fine feddle (what is a feddle, anyway???). Love ya, Tutu
Travis says “see, you went and scared your Mom, good job Papaya Mom”
Love you.
I totally agree w/ you mom! We truly thought it all out and totally decided that we were done and now we both get teary whenever we say there will be no more! And he already had it done. Plus, it put him in a real funk knowing that he wasn’t “manly” enough to reproduce anymore. You are such a wonderful momma that another child would be lucky to have you!
Lori
so I admit I’m confused. Are you for it or against it? What about Trav? Or is this just hypothetical? I say, because of course, it’s all about our opinions LOL, NO WAY!!!! You never know how you’ll feel about it as maya gets older. you might want *just one more*. Or at least know you could if you wanted
Travis says he’s sure.
I’d do it either way - but I don’t want a HUGE gap between kids if there will be anymore.
It’s an ONGOING discussion - I wish he’d make up his mind!
That would be so sad to me:( To say never… I get hesitant saying that about this one, though it very well might be. But to say NEVER… And mom is right, after you have one, another is easy. I would be more comfortable with Ben just saying No then NEVER!!!
Mom’s not scared, Travis. Papaya Mom’s Dad had a vasectomy after my doctor refused to tie my tubes after her brother was born. It was a hard decision to make … I won’t tell you all our consequences (too personal) but be absolutely sure, be absolutely truthful with each other for your reasons, know any medical consequences, and keep your options open until there are no questions in your mind. Still lovin’ ya, Tutu
This may be too personal or way too much information, and I obviously don’t know the details, but here’s some my thoughts.
I have an IUD, and LOVE it. (i got the Mirena). It’s effective as tubal ligation for up to 7 years, BUT, is completely, immediately reversible should kids (or more kids in your case) be desired. No months of infertility after pills or injections, all other factors considered, you can get pregnant the next day after it’s taken out. Might be a good option while minds are made up one way or another, highly effective, no weird side effects, and for me made a lot more sense than other bc methods.
Obviously these things are quite personal, but I wanted to share my positive experiece with the IUD, as most people don’t even consider them for when they are thinking long term solutions for BC for one reason or another.
