We convinced Papaya this morning to go looking for plastic eggs - she looked at us like we are crazy. We are, but she’s a bit young to have that all figured out.
Once she found the first egg she realized the game. Then every egg was “I FOUND IT!!!” as if she’d discovered the new world. The eggs were filled with fluffy felt and she got a bit scared when she tore a few open as if they might be bugs. Then she found the golden eggs (3) with actual candy in them - sweet Mother of Jesus she was happy.
She ate a Chocolate Tractor from Croghan Candy Kitchen in Croghan, NY from her Grammy and Grampa. She loved that - put in a request for this as her daily first meal. Something tells me disappointment is in her future.

Maybe it's that Papaya woke up last night crying and proceeded to spend a few hours throwing up every twenty minutes or so, but today I'm a bit cranky.

Yeah, it was kind of a bummer to not be able to have Xan go on an egg hunt.
But, he ate his first Peep! It was very exciting. For me, that is.

yay easter!!! holidays are so much more fun with kids - they bring the magic back!! I spent mine with a 5-year old and it was like I was five again!!
