I read an article in this morning's newspaper that after having stomach shrinking surgery and getting down to a normal 155 weight, an Oregon woman (who is the director of social services in a long-term care facility > not a stupid or lazy person) was physically assaulted. Her doctor put her on Zyprexa for PTSD (a mood stabilizer when used this way). She had no weight gain for 8 weeks, "but she said the drug altered her metabolism and set the stage for rapid weight gain in the months ahead, when she was then prescribed antidepressants." With nortriptyline "she put on 30 pounds in less than 2 months." That's not the end of the story but it points out that we all need to read the fine print and talk to our M.D.s about the range of consequences/ side effects of the drugs we take.<br/>I love you, too, and wish the best for us all !!!!!!!!!
