Malasadas

Portuguese doughnut - happy sugar laden place of my youth - oh delicious!

Even Wikipedia talks about it’s significance at the annual Punahou Carnival.

Malasadas - Agnes’ Bakery or Leonard’s Bakery. Let them work with that big vat of grease! Sinfully delicious. Brings back memories from childhood. Where did you get the recipe? Have you tried frying any up, yet? Is it possible (and worth it) to make a small batch? At the carnival they mix up the dough in large, plastic trash bins (washed out, I presume) ;->

Today Bruce will finish scraping the floor and pouring leveler in the low spots. I may finish sanding and painting the white baseboards … or I may wait until we get back from Washington. The baseboards don’t get re-installed until the floor is done. And the floor won’t get laid until after our trip to F.P.

    Life is good !!!!!!!!!!
    Love, Tutu
