It was so very hard to watch the Papaya and her Dad walk away in the aiport after a quick meal together. Those five hours in the car together on the way up suddenly seemed short, painfully short. She was sweet and hugged me and kissed me - even running back for one more hug. I’m not sure if she understands how long we will be apart - my sweet silly darling loving little girl.
So it will be ten days until I see her again. I bustled through the crowed and the languages being chattered all around and made it to the lounge. I’m sitting here just logged onto the WiFi when I hear….“Air Tahiti Nui flight 003 has been delayed by at least two hours due to weather - the incoming flight was diverted to Baltimore - we will update you when more information is available.” Oh GAWD. Like a 13 hour overnight flight was not enough it’s now been pushed back a minimum of two hours?
On top of that my sweet husband lost his parking ticket and is awaiting a visit from the Port Authority (with tired toddler in the back seat of the parked car) to allow him to pay and leave with the car. Why? Because last night when he discovered water underneath my carpets (yes, sitting water in metal trenches with electrical cording) he emptied the car as he cleaned the heck out of it and left it with fans blowing it dry overnight. He forgot to put his registration and proof of insurance back in the car.
Thank GOD we are both healthy and safe - it could be so much worse, but this certainly is annoying.

Yikes! Have a few drinks before the flight, during the flight and after the flight!
