Moving is not fun

It gets “better” each time these military moves happen to us, but it is never easy to pack up your life and start over.  We are so very lucky this time to be moving back to my home - so the “back end” of the move will be a lot easier.  Unfortunately, it does not make the “front end” here any better.

Things are busy - Papaya Mom is going to be lacking for a few more weeks - but I promise to be back in awesome full force soon.

also: I got an iPhone and I’m in iLove.

Around Chez Papaya things are a moving!  In less than two weeks the Papaya and I are moving in one direction, Adventure Dad will be supervising the pack out after we leave and selling on car, then he has to turn over his job to a new guy and travel up North for a few weeks.

It may have not been the perfect first day home, but it came as close as humanly possible.

I feel your pain. For the last 5 years I haven’t lived in one place for more than a year; often shorter periods like 8 months. I’m ready to find a place that I can settle into and enjoy for at least a few years.

Good luck with everything! The sooner it’s over the better.

Oh, I too feel your pain. I’m not going to be ready to move again for AT LEAST 10 years! Okay… 5.

But, in some ways, it’s a pretty cool adventure, too.

Lucky girl. If only I could have an iphone without Cingular.

Moving sucks. I have vowed never to do it again until we retire. Good luck.

At least you had some warning on this move! I was in Boston with Andrew for 2 mos. while my husband was in TX training for a new job. I had 1 1/2 days after we returned to pack, clean and move from S. Florida to Tampa! Yikes! My husband tried to help…but threw away a lot of necessary items and kept the frivolous! Ugh!

I don’t like the work of moving, but I do like that I get rid of a lot of stuff on Freecycle that I know we don’t use/need…well, when I’m in charge of the move!

Have a great move and I hope that you all settle well.
