I miss my crockpot

It got broken on the way to Hawaii - damn.

Well - maybe I’m lucky - since I’ve since discovered the glaze in many slow cookers have lead.

Lookie lookie what I found - now I have to convince myself to buy the replacement -Gourmet Rice n Slow Cooker by Vita Clay.

Not enough produce? by Papaya Mom on January 25th, 2007
The Well Fed Network recently had an article on advances in Nutrition and part of it popped out at me:"If Americans doubled their consumption of produce (which we would have to do in order to eat as much as we should be eating), there would not be enough vegetables to go around.

Beautiful

Is my daughter sitting on her potty in her Ariel Mermaid Dress - so freaking cute I could almost forget potty training is a long, l o n g, l  o  n  g  , l    o     n     g process!

In better news - I’ve got Thanksgiving, then my brother’s wedding, my birthday, then Christmas and New Years coming up - and Adventure Dad is only missing one of those!

Incredible

It is incredibly difficult to potty train your own mind twin in the body of a two-year old.  She’s cute, she’s funny, and she’ll sit there forever to get those stickers.  Day 1 - no actual deposits in the potty but one on the floor of Mommy’s room and a great loving talk about how we are going to try and go “shi shi” on the potty next time.

She misses him so much - my heart breaks for her some days.  She wants to talk sometimes and not others.  I am going to call soon to get her in with a great play therapist a friend told me about - she needs all the support she can get with all the confusion.

I love her, him, my life - I really do.  I’m happy and calm and if my aching back would shut up I could even get some sleep.  I’m really looking forward to Christmas back together as a family, even if it is only for a few days.

Commentary

As my toddler and I sit watching a friend nurse her twins she pretends to nurse on the ball she’s holding in her hand (pink, a gift from her Dad).  I ask her if she’d like to cuddle and pretend to nurse on me.

“Your boo boos have no milk mommy - they are to low.”

Yeah, let’s not even start to talk about HOW or WHY they are no longer perky - okay?!?!
