It is incredibly difficult to potty train your own mind twin in the body of a two-year old. She’s cute, she’s funny, and she’ll sit there forever to get those stickers. Day 1 - no actual deposits in the potty but one on the floor of Mommy’s room and a great loving talk about how we are going to try and go “shi shi” on the potty next time.
She misses him so much - my heart breaks for her some days. She wants to talk sometimes and not others. I am going to call soon to get her in with a great play therapist a friend told me about - she needs all the support she can get with all the confusion.
I love her, him, my life - I really do. I’m happy and calm and if my aching back would shut up I could even get some sleep. I’m really looking forward to Christmas back together as a family, even if it is only for a few days.

My heart hurts for both of you. I want to say, “Christmas will be here before you know it!” and in some ways it will, but I am sure that does nothing to take the sting out of the seeing what she is going through in the meantime.
Poor Maya and Mommy. I hope Christmas comes soon for you!
